Bus Air Conditioner Working Principle

Bus air conditioner works similarly to air conditioner in buildings. It uses refrigeration technology to cool the air inside bus. Here is the brief overview of how bus ac unit works:

Compression: Compressor is used to compress refrigerant gas and pump it through the Bus HVAC System.

Condensation: The gas from compressor is cooled in condenser, which consists of metal coils or tubes with a fan. The fan blows air over condenser then the cooled refrigerant makes air condense into a high-pressure liquid.

Expansion: The high-pressure liquid refrigerant is sent through an expansion valve, its pressure is reduced, then boiled and turn into low-pressure, low-temperature vapor.

Evaporation: The low-pressure refrigerant vapor is sent to the evaporator, which is installed inside the passenger compartment of the bus. The fan blows air over the evaporator coils, cooling the air before it is circulated into the passenger compartment.

Refrigerant cycle: The refrigerant then returns to the compressor, where the cycle starts again.

This process is repeated continuously, removing heat from the air inside the bus and cooling it to the desired temperature. The Bus HVAC System is controlled by a thermostat, which adjusts the temperature in the passenger compartment by regulating the flow of refrigerant.

Cling has started the supply of air conditioner EZDS series for electric buses since 2008, and only the supply of this series has exceeded 100,000 units which are well received on the market.
